Three ways to cook lip-smacking ribs

Ribs are a favorite with most people. There are many ways to cook lip-smacking ribs at any time of the year. They can be your family’s favorite in the winter, spring, summer and the fall. Here are three of the best ways to cook ribs: in a pressure cooker, in a Crock Pot and on the grill.

Pressure Cooker: This is a very fast way of cooking ribs. Cut the ribs into portions (4 or 5 ribs per portion) and put the ribs in a pressure cooker. Brown the ribs in a little canola oil. Drain and place back into the pressure cooker. Add your favorite sauce and seasonings. Do not add water. Close the lid securely and heat on high until the weight begins to rock. Continue cooking on medium heat for 15 minutes. Let the pressure cooker lose its pressure on its own. The super heat will cause the ribs to become very tender, and really moist which is just how ribs should be to make them perfect.

Crock Pot: Brown the ribs slightly and place the ribs in the crock pot. Add your favorite sauce and spices. Cook for 4 hours. You will end up with mouth-watering and lip-smacking ribs.

Grilled: It is a good idea to boil the ribs for 2 hours to eliminate a lot of the fat. This helps to tenderize them as well. Keep the ribs together in either the whole side or ½ side. If you separate them, they may fall through the grill. Grill the ribs on the barbeque, baste them with your favorite sauce and turn them often so that they do not burn. As they are already par-cooked, it not necessary to cook them a long time on the grill.
